Nostos was born out of a wish to create a space for screenwriters from all over the world to focus on their work, become part of a writing community, and get valuable feedback from experts in the industry.

Pitch deck creation
A well-crafted deck doesn’t just present your story — it opens doors, sparks conversations, and convinces and collaborators to join your journey. That’s why we decided to start offering this new service at Nostos: to provide you with a custom-made, industry-ready pitch deck that helps you move from script to screen.

What our writers say
To risk being hyperbolic - it was one of the best creative experiences I've ever had. I loved being able to have a full two weeks away from the distractions of everyday life to thoroughly focus on my creative work, I loved the encouragement and support from the group, and it was also incredibly beneficial to meet people from all different corners of the industry and varying career stages.
The retreat was absolutely fantastic, incredibly enriching, and helped push me artistically in my own writing in such a unique way. The time and space (and the setting!) that the retreat gave me to focus on my work was such a godsend. I would come back in a heartbeat.
Creatively, it may have been one of the most fulfilling periods of my life. The group of writers was, hands down, the highlight. We formed a real bond, and the memories we created together elevated the entire experience. It’s rare to find that kind of chemistry and mutual inspiration, and I’ll carry it with me for a long time.

How to apply
We handle all applications via FilmFreeway, where you can apply to attend one of our upcoming retreats, apply to work with an online mentor, or get your screenplay or treatment reviewed.

Our team of expert script reviewers then thoroughly reads and reviews each project. Each project is judged on its concept, presentation, structure, plot, pacing, dialogue, characters, and theme. Treatments, which must be detailed and at least 15 pages long, are judged on their premise-concept, presentation, and originality of the story.
